Steinar from Norway did not run away from his girlfriend when he went to a forest. Instead of running away, Steinar wrote "Hilde, do you want to marry me" with GPS tracking device to the woods, reports Norwegian TV2 today.
Both Steinar and Hilde Sofie are both active exercisers and they love to use GPS tracking while they are running and cycling. Steinar got an idea to make an important question to his love one by using the very same device. Since Norway is mountaneous country and the terraing can be quite a demanding Steinar studied the geography for a long time before he found a perfect spot.
Totally the running tour was four kilometres long, reports the TV2. The actual running tour can be found from the Garmin's report pages.
When Steinar got home from his running tour, asked Steinar Hilde to see the map. First Hilde did not get what the curly route was, but after zooming in the question went in. At the same time the man had come to his knees.
Wedding day has been agreed, so the answer was yes.
Norwegians have been active with GPS tracking. Last year I wrote about a Norwegian pilot who drew a penis with his plane when he approached Arlanda airport in Sweden.
The writer is an eager GPS tracker but until now he has not either proposed or drawn any penises with the tracking devices.
