About a week ago communication lecturers and professionals in Finland received a sad message. A guru, communication researcher and professor emerita Osmo A. Wiio passed away in 85 years of age. There is practically no communication professional, teacher, professor or a student who wouldn't have read at least one of Wiio's many books of communication. In order to commemorate the memory of this great scholar I release here an lecture I gave a while ago and which owns great debt to Osmo A. Wiio. Thank you. Let the communication be succesful there where you are.  As Wiio's first law of communication stated: "Communication mostly fails - except by coindicence." When I in year 2007 visited both Samsung's and LG's research centres in South Korea, it was easy to see who would be the winners of the era of media convergence . Already then we could see concepts where mobile phone, TV, personal computer and all other home electronics were borrowing features from each others. In addition they would perform tasks together.
