A visit to a new T-Hospital in Turku was an exciting experience for someone who appeciates lean and functional architecture. A week ago I visited first time in the new T-hospital in Turku. A hospital which would replace among other things one of the signal buildings of the Finnish architecture: Alvar Aalto 's Paimio Sanatory (video). Paimio has been in active hospital use since 1930's and now, almost 80 years later, it was replaced with the new modern hospital building. But how does the new building comparison with an old one drawn by one of the icons in the modern architecture? Comparison, of course, is just for fun since you can't really make a comparison between these two buildings. Veteran Cars & Vehicles , a set on Flickr. In July I accidentally popped in to an event which definetly was one of the highlights of the summer. It is not often you see almost 800 veteran cars gathered to the same place. I was going to visit Vääksy channel, and I got to see one of the greatest and finest car shows I've seen in my life. The regional veteran car club in Tavastia arranged its annual car meet in Vääksy channel area in July. And what a meeting it was! 800+ gorgeous and well-kept cars spread all over the area - sportscar, buses, lorries, motorbikes and normal classic family cars serving the whole spectre of the vehicles to us. Not only presenting the old American automobiles but also showing a great deal of the classic European cars from 1960's Volvos to 1970's Renault's and Alfa Romeos. Steinar from Norway did not run away from his girlfriend when he went to a forest. Instead of running away, Steinar wrote "Hilde, do you want to marry me" with GPS tracking device to the woods, reports Norwegian TV2 today. Both Steinar and Hilde Sofie are both active exercisers and they love to use GPS tracking while they are running and cycling. Steinar got an idea to make an important question to his love one by using the very same device. Since Norway is mountaneous country and the terraing can be quite a demanding Steinar studied the geography for a long time before he found a perfect spot. Humanistisen ammattikorkeakoulun TKI-keskus (Meri) muutti äskettäin Logomo Byrååseen. Näissä vanhaan junien huoltorakennukseen kunnostetuissa avokonttoritiloissa on minunkin työpaikkani. Itselleni avokonttorityöskentely on ongelmatonta, tulenhan perheestä jossa oli seitsemän lasta, mutta aina välillä on tilanne, jolloin haluaisit keskustella puhelimessa toisia häiritsemättä.
