Indeed, they do after a longer run but in this blogtext I criticize the quality of socks. It sucks. Today, it is hard to find any decent and lasting socks in any shop - no matter whether you purchase them from the Highstreet store or from H&M, their quality is crap. Yiwu is a small 1.2 million people city in China. This small Chinese city is known as The Capital of Socks. Factories in the city produce over three billion pairs of socks annually - and I claim because of the quality of the socks is so poor that we have to throw them to the waste after wearin them couple of times. What a waste in these times of sustainability. Today's socks are not made of thread anymore. Or they are, but a thin thread is sowed in a way that they keep the thin layer of cotton wool between them. Just long enough to keep them in shape for a short time. Anteeksi Hans Välimäki asetti tänään lippalakin kauniisti päähänsä ja pahoitteli antamiaan lausuntoja, jossa hän arvosteli sosiaalisessa mediassa noussutta kohua ravintolansa Facebook-sivujen toiminnasta. Midhill -ravintolan Facebook-sivujen ylläpitäjä oli perustellut ravintolan laskuttamaa vettä mm. palkkakustannuksilla ja kertonut, että ilmaista vettä voi juoda kotonakin. Tämä oli aiheuttanut kritiikkitulvan viestin kommenttikenttään ja lopulta ravintola poisti ketjun seinältään. Hans Välimäki otti vesipullon kauniiseen käteensä ja pyysi tällä kuvalla anteeksi syntynyttä kohua. Nyt olisi some-konsulttien vuoro pyytää anteeksi ylireagointiaan. Today, I experienced something never before. Propably the fake Twitter user of Turkish government tried to silence me tweeting my commentaries of the demonstrations in Istanbul. Tweets from which I got the personal RT record - thank you for sharing, and please do that! I have Turkish friends which are touched by the current demonstrations in Istanbul. Demonstrators are against the plans for building a mall to a park and they criticize the government for undemocratic decision making during the process. People were not heard and they claimed the decision makers for the corruption. So, they did the only thing they could do. Go to the streets. And the government response has been attacking against the demonstrators with the hard force. With rubber bullets, teargas, water canons and chemical substances I thought it was not even possible to use this day. I admire the demonstrators for their spirit and the courage to go to the street when everyone watching the incident outside can see
